Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Namaste Bistro Miramichi. The ideal candidate will ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, dishes, and utensils, supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant or hospitality environment. This role is essential in maintaining a hygienic and efficient kitchen, contributing to an excellent guest experience.

Responsibilities

Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas to meet health and safety standards. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and basic kitchen duties. Support kitchen staff by ensuring all dishware is available for food service in a timely manner. Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure safety standards are upheld. Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols. Restock supplies and assist with general cleaning duties to keep the kitchen organized and sanitary.

Qualifications

Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and food handling safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations. Basic understanding of food preparation and hospitality practices is a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed.
