Job Overview

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas within the banquet kitchen.

What you'll do

Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans Operate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently Ensure that all kitchen tools, working surfaces, and equipment are clean, sanitized, and organized Always maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in dishwashing and storage areas Assist with garbage, compost, and recycling removal according to kitchen procedures Support with basic cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces Follow proper chemical handling procedures and maintaining safety standards when using cleaning products Refill soap, sanitizer, and paper supplies as needed Inspect dishes and utensils for cleaning before returning them to service Ensure proper drying, stacking, and storage to prevent breakage and contamination Maintain dishwashing machines and report maintenance or safety issues immediately to the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef De Partie Assist with kitchen deep cleaning tasks and end-of-shift sanitation duties Supports chefs and cooks by maintaining a clean and organized workstation environment Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and occupational health regulations

Basic qualifications

1-2 dishwashing experience Ability to lift heavy items (at least 40lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo Ability to work independently or as a team member

Preferred qualifications

1st Aid Certification Food Safe Certification

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 32 per week
