PURPOSE

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher Assistant to join our team. The Dishwasher Assistant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness around the kitchen, and ensuring that tasks get completed with excellence by paying attention to detail and pace of execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

? Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas

? Load and unload dishwashing machines

? Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots)

? Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately

? Set up workstations before meals begin

? Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours

? Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary

? Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues

? Remove garbage regularly

? Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education / Experience

? Previous experience working in a kitchen preferred

? No specific educational requirement; on-the-job training is typically provided.

? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

? Excellent communication and teamwork skills

? Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed

? Attention to detail and sanitation rules

? Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

? Ability to perform well under pressure and work quickly and efficiently

? Excellent customer service skills and the ability to enjoy working with others

? Keenness to follow instructions

? Remarkable organization skills and the ability to keep track of kitchen inventory

? Basic understanding of how to use kitchen equipment

WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work in a hot and humid environment
