POSITION OVERVIEW




The dishwasher /steward is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen and back of the house areas. Working under the direction of the Executive Chief Steward, this position is responsible for following both company and facility policies and procedures. The dishwasher / steward will promote the Parq Vancouver facility and act as a positive role model and representative of Blau & Associates. The dishwasher / steward continually strives for 100% guest satisfaction.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES




The Dishwasher is responsible for:

The breakdown, loading, unloading and sorting of all dishes, glassware and flatware Washing, sorting and cleaning dishes according to both facility and Vancouver Coastal Health standards Sorting, stacking and storing clean items in an organized and safe manner Ensuring all breakages and chipped items are removed from circulation and inventoried Ensuring floors are properly cleaned and maintained Transporting garbage from kitchen areas to designated disposable areas Maintaining a clean and safe work environment All duties as assigned by the Executive Chief Steward or their designated representative

QUALIFICATIONS




The Dishwasher must:

Have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, team environment Have knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations Have a valid Food Safe Level 1 Certificate Have the ability to obtain and maintain a GPEB license if necessary Be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend and stoop repeatedly Be able to frequently lift and carry up to 44 pounds * Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
