Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Help with food handling and storage to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Support chefs and cooks during meal service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking tasks as needed. Ensure all kitchen supplies are stocked and report any shortages to the kitchen manager. Follow proper sanitation practices to maintain a clean working environment. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food preparation and service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling guidelines. Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail in maintaining a sanitary kitchen environment. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while demonstrating excellent communication skills. A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional service to guests. Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking, serving, and overall kitchen operations.
