We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Steward to join our team in a dynamic hospitality environment. The Steward plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all food handling and preparation processes adhere to safety and hygiene standards. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and enhancing the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff.
Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to comply with health regulations.
Help with the setup and breakdown of dining areas for service.
Support cooks and other kitchen staff by providing necessary tools and ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages as needed.
Adhere to all safety protocols while working in the kitchen environment.
Experience
Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting is preferred.
Familiarity with food handling practices and kitchen operations is beneficial.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented atmosphere.
