This is a

FULL TIME position for

40 hours/week starting asap

at Adults in Motion Kitchener Day Program at 317 Franklin Rd N, Kitchener.

The successful candidate will become part of the full-time staff team at Adults in Motion working directly hands-on with some very cool participants in a collaborative work environment. Join the team to help develop meaningful programming and provide support to our AIMazing participants. Our culture is compassion, adventure, passion and fun!

EXPECTATIONS:

-this position is 40hours full time Monday through Friday (starting rate to be determined based on experience)

-on a small staff team, provide meaningful experiences, friendship, community inclusion and fun for up to 15 participants/day (Participant criteria is no aggressive behaviors, independence with personal care and supported in an approx 5:1 ratio).

-experience in creating and delivering programming in a fun, energetic and outgoing manner

-experienced behaviour management skills and support to individuals with developmental disabilities

-experience working with individuals with special needs or with a vulnerable population is required

-valid G license to drive the program van

-recreation and leisure diploma or recreation therapy or equivalant qualifications preferred

What else does the Adults In Motion organization do? Established in 2009 and now with locations in Kitchener, Oakville, Cambridge and Hamilton. We offer Day Program Services, Life Skills Respite, One to One Respite, Workshops. In addition to day programs we are also affiliated with Lubdub Virtual Programs for people with developmental disabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
