Your Role\xe2\x80\xa6

Reporting to the EVP Client Development & Transaction Services, the Director, Transaction Services (\xe2\x80\x9cDTS\xe2\x80\x9d) is a primary point of contact for our clients for any matters pertaining to their real estate portfolio, with focus on creation of client benefit to their position in the market, through the efficient and effective management of an existing evolving transaction pipeline. This requires proactive communication, an ability to quickly understand priorities, manage time and deploy resources, in an environment of changing conditions while offering mentorship, and accountability to the Transaction Services Team (\xe2\x80\x9cTST\xe2\x80\x9d)

Your Key Responsibilities (Western Canada)

  • Safeguard and improve the added value provided to our client real estate portfolio by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the client, and external resources as required. In view of answering questions, solving challenges, and providing recommendations.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and expand our integration into the clients\xe2\x80\x99 operating platform through a dedication to solving their real estate challenges and by providing recommendations.
  • Participate in the achievement of established TST financial targets and KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Lead, manage, and supervise the activities of the TST.
  • Negotiate, coordinate, and execute real estate transactions for our clients\xe2\x80\x99 real estate portfolio, inclusive of leased, and owned properties.
  • Regularly meet with clients and the Landmark team to reinforce the relationship and proactively seek to understand the clients\xe2\x80\x99 strategy, needs and objectives.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external reporting (monthly, quarterly and/or annual).
  • Provide monthly and annual commission fee revenue projections and ensure timely tracking and accurate billing of commission fees.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of local and national real estate markets, trends and conditions.
  • Support expansion of client services, and business development activities with the Landmark leadership team and contribute to other initiatives, special projects, etc.

  • Experience: a minimum of 8 years of expertise in tenant-centered commercial real estate, with a focus on the industrial asset class.
  • Leadership: consistent, fair, accountable delegation to inspire and motivate others to do their best work.
  • Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: the ability to ensure a successful compromise and desirable solution.
  • Critical thinking: Using logic, experience, and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Reading comprehension: firm understanding of legal real estate agreements and the relationships of conditions within them.
  • Written and oral communication: Providing effective communication both internally and externally on a timely basis.
  • Attention to detail: Taking a focused and keen approach to carefully reviewing all incoming and outgoing information.
  • Time management: Planning and utilizing time in the most effective manner while understanding priorities.

  • The ability to participate in periodic travel which can be frequent at times.
  • A valid motor vehicle license and passport.
