Position Purpose
The
Director, Supportive Housing and Partnerships
provides oversight to housing programs, supportive housing initiatives, and partnership development activities at the Centre. The role includes housing program management, partnership building, policy and procedure development, and staff supervision. The Director plays a key role in representing the Centre with housing partners, government bodies, and community agencies to ensure effective collaboration, service integration, and maximization of housing and partnership opportunities.
This leadership position works closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure high-quality supportive housing and integrated services across programs. We are excited to engage a collaborative and ethical professional who shares our values of equity, accountability, and impact.
Responsibilities
Supportive Housing Management
Oversee a range of supportive housing programs, ensuring effective operational and administrative management of all housing-related functions.
Develop, plan, and implement housing programs, policies, and procedures to meet client needs and the Centre's housing mandate.
Monitor housing services to ensure they meet the needs of women and families experiencing substance use, mental health, and related concerns.
Collaborate with the leadership team and staff to design and implement program evaluations, housing outcome measures, and quality assurance processes.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting to funders, including housing and partnership-related targets and indicators.
Foster strong relationships with landlords, housing providers, and sector stakeholders to enhance access to safe, affordable housing options
Partnership Development
Build and strengthen partnerships with community agencies, government ministries, health organizations, and housing providers to advance the Centre's housing and support objectives.
Represent the Centre on external committees and networks to enhance collaboration and service planning.
Identify and pursue opportunities for new partnerships, funding streams, and housing initiatives.
Promote the Centre's expertise in supportive housing and integrated care through training, knowledge exchange, and sector engagement.
Leadership and Staff Development
Provide leadership and supervision to assigned teams, ensuring effective service delivery and staff support.
Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and development of staff within housing and partnership programs.
Conduct ongoing and annual performance reviews, fostering a culture of professional growth and accountability.
Collaborate with the Leadership Team to advance organizational goals, strategic planning, and professional development initiatives.
Organizational Responsibilities
Demonstrate commitment to harm reduction, trauma-informed, women-centred, and anti-oppressive practices.
Abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Centre's policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively and respectfully across teams, sharing information and celebrating collective successes.
Commit to continuous learning through professional development and sector engagement.
Participate in on-call responsibilities, as required.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Public Policy, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Registration with a professional college preferred (e.g. Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers).
3-5 years of management experience in housing, health care, or human services.
Experience with supportive housing programs community development, community partnerships, and/or housing-focused outreach.
Knowledge of trauma, mental health, and substance use concerns and their intersection with housing stability.
Strong understanding of anti-oppressive, gender-responsive, and harm reduction approaches.
Demonstrated experience working with government funders, reporting systems, and partnership-based program development.
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in French or other languages is an asset.
Experience in unionized environments is an asset.
Valid G license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.
