Leader Name: VP, Business & Corporate Credit

As Director Strategy, Business Credit, you play an integral role in the Credit team. You will be responsible for reviewing, understanding, prioritizing and bringing to life the various initiatives that impact the time to money and overall effectiveness of our agriculture, business and commercial lending programs and processes. In addition, you will:

• Build and maintain relationships throughout the enterprise in an effort to identify opportunities and roadblocks, developing a range of potential solutions with the client experience always in mind.
• Over see the development, interpretation, analysis and dissemination of all risk related information as it relates to business, agriculture and commercial loan portfolios.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and experience in the practical application of business/commercial lending with a good understanding of not only the "how", but the "why", is a must
• Understanding of ESG, particularly with regards to environmental impacts and credit risk assessment. Familiarity with ISSB and SASB standards would be an asset
• Familiarity with ASFI, OSFI and BASEL banking regulations, specifically credit related guidance, governance and best practices
• Understanding of the operational aspects of the end to end lending process
• Ability to craft lending policy and program guidelines, including communication and training for rolling out both updates and new initiatives
• Able to interpret data and advance the digitization of credit decisioning and oversight
• Has to be innovative and creative, willing to think differently, look at the art of the possible, and try new things, but equally has to have the discipline to get things done and know when to flex and when not to.
• Ability to influence and build strong relationships with partners and other stakeholders
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and negotiation skills.
• The ability to effectively lead change through influence.
• A strong understanding of G-Suite is a must. Experience with Tableau is an asset.
• BCom, CFA, MBA, CPA or University degree or college diploma in business or related field
