About the Role:
Queen\'s has recently embarked on an ambitious and exciting IT transformation. As Director, Strategy and Partnerships, you will be a key advisor to the CIO - positioning IT Services as a champion of institutional optimization and innovation. You and your team will align IT Services direction and operations to Queen\'s objectives and strategy and maximize the return on Queen\'s investments in IT services and solutions against institutional expectations for value. You will also have the ability to translate vision and strategy into clear actionable goals, establish priorities and achieve measurable results.

This role serves as a crucial bridge between technology and various business units, including Budget, Planning, Finance, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Office, Facilities Management and Planning, Governance (Office of the Campus Council), HR, etc. This role is highly strategic and operates at a high-level within the organization.

As a highly collaborative leader, you will lead several few key areas/functions within the technology department. This will include:

- Strategy Development and Alignment
- Enterprise and Business Architecture
- Delivery Management (PMO, Service Management and Operational Excellence)
- Data Strategy and Governance
- Business Relationship Management and Business Intake
- Quality Assurance

Core Responsibilities:

- Support CIO in developing University\'s IT strategy and policy leadership
- Manage business relationships with faculties and departments
- Forecast demand for IT services
- Establish architectural policies and standards for IT solutions
- Provide leadership support for information security
- Develop and maintain IT policies and related standards
- Foster innovation and diversity in the workplace
- Oversee financial objectives and vendor relationships
- Lead and support employees, promoting a professional and inclusive work environment
- Manage performance, training, and employee relations
- Be available for after-hours emergency support

Qualifications:

- Graduate degree in engineering, computer science, business, or related field
- 10+ years of IT management experience, including significant expertise in enterprise level strategic planning, architecture and project delivery
- Hands-on expertise in enterprise architecture and system design
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Experience within the education or public sector, ideal but not required
- Experience implementing and/or managing enterprise CRMs (i.e. Salesforce)
- High-level understanding of technology and business trends
- Ability to build meaningful relationships and cultivate a wide network of long-term relationships
- Ability to understand the complete business ecosystem including developing and executing strategy; integration of internal operations that delivers a value proposition in keeping with a service model framework
- Must be very personable and possess exceptional leadership skills
- Demonstrated experience in defining a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) strategy, with Salesforce experience being ideal
- Experience working, leading, and/or creating a Delivery Management Office is a strong asset
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) is essential
