Job Title Director, Senior Relationship Management Canada
The SRM team leads the business development and coordination of client relationships within RBC Capital Markets, acting as main point of contact for RBC\'s clients adding to the breadth of our relationships to most effectively map client architecture and stakeholders, opportunities and resource allocation. SRM functions include coordination, collaboration and problem solving to meet the demands of clients and help them to most effectively navigate RBC. SRM\'s provide leadership, direction, strategy and management of institutional client relationships at our focus clients and developing the SRM team, bench and succession as a player coach. Our SRMs work as trusted partners with key internal stakeholders to further product driven relationships across RBC including stakeholders in CFG, Spread, Macro, DCM, Equities, GIB, Corporate Banking, I&TS and RBC Wealth Management.
An SRM will, amongst other things, focus on
helping maintain target lists of SRM relationships
assisting in proposing and executing RBC product services delivery strategy with an emphasis on our Global Markets offerings
Build and maintain senior client relationships within the Cdn client base
help coordinate and drive the cross sell startegy across products and regions in partnership with Global SRMs across US, Europe and APAC
seek client feedback sessions to benchmark our performance to peers
provide support for and attend senior C-suite meetings
An SRM will ideally have
University degree
in depth global markets industry experience including the application of derivative and cash products for funding and investment solutions
high level of experience with client needs and objectives, demonstrated track record of negotiating proficiency and deep client relationships
significant cross asset experience with financial products and deep understanding of Capital Markets and Banking
Excellent communication skills along with proven ability to communicate complex concepts succinctly (blend of both IQ and EQ)
self-motivated, innovative and adaptable team player with capacity for original and creative thought
