What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing
With support from the Senior Director Real Estate Secured Lending Polices and Programs, the Director, Collateral Management is responsible for leading CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s Real Estate Secured Lending collateral management strategies which involve managing and optimizing our existing appraisal processes, leading the Auto-Valuation Management (AVM) strategy, and providing oversight over regulatory requirements and controls of our appraisal model, collateral data analysis and policy management. In addition, the Director Collateral Management will proactively and regularly scan the marketplace and continuously evolve our Maximum Loan Amount Calculations (MLAC), geographic concentrations, and portfolio performance to maintain and balance competitiveness, client centricity and manage risks in an evolving environment.

How You\xe2\x80\x99ll Succeed
Accountable For The Development and Implementation of Real Estate secured lending collateral analysis, key active and predictive metrics, and property valuation strategy; and, approach to balancing risk and business strategy. Develop and provide leadership for development of strategy and design AVMs, Fair Market Rent and overall appraisal mix (Emili, AVM, Desktop, Drive-By, Full, other)
Maintain and Drive Detailed Knowledge of Real estate secured lending valuation approaches, products, policies, standards, processes, KPIs, and systems across all delivery channels; including changes to different regulations that may have an impact.
Obtain Input From Stakeholders on impact of Regulatory Program changes; consult with General Counsel as required to obtain legal interpretation of the impact of legislative changes and of proposed policy/procedure changes on legislative compliance in consideration of real estate/collateral based transactions.
Analyze, Investigate, Identify and Resolve potential or active issues of governance or compliance , or as raised by regulatory bodies and internal Bank groups (e.g., Audit, Compliance, Risk Management); identify and develop policy, procedural changes, controls and reporting to address, resolve and monitor these issues.
Product & Policy development of quality customer centric real estate and collateral approaches that support business and customer satisfaction objectives consistent with CIBC product management strategy, while ensuring regulatory compliance. Monitor and re-engineer existing CIBC product and policies as needed to ensure CIBC remains compliant with regulations.
