We are searching for a Director, Quality and Performance to join our Shannex team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director Quality and Performance is accountable for collaborating with the Executive Leadership Team, Senior Operating Team and Senior Leadership Team in the implementation of the organization\'s strategic initiatives; development, translation and implementation of the annual priorities, and accountability mechanisms (scorecard & targets). The Director ensures there are structures, systems and processes in place to enable Shannex to achieve the desired organizational outcomes. To achieve this, the Director works with a focus on strategy, measurement, accountability, analytics, research and innovation. A key function of this role is ensuring that there is a robust decision support strategy which includes the development of multiple data sets and sources of operating and planning information to facilitate and inform real-time organizational decision making and performance measurement.

The Director is accountable for developing and executing the organization\'s research agenda and partnerships, creating value for the organization in the immediate term and value for the organization, sector and research community in the medium to long term. The Director, Quality and Performance also leads the organization\'s strategy development, execution, capacity-building and support models in relation to research agenda, innovation, quality management, project management and data analytics.

About the Opportunity
  • In collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, is accountable to provide advice, recommendations and information to the Senior Leadership Team to fulfill its governance obligations with respect to:
  • the achievement of the organization\'s strategic priorities;
  • the annual organizational planning process and achievement of annual priorities;
  • oversight of the organization\'s performance, including, but not limited to, the monthly review of critical to quality and key performance indicators; accountability framework.
  • Negotiates performance plans across the enterprise, and mobilizes commitment to performance targets; holds leaders accountable to achieve agreed-upon targets
  • Leads the management, monitoring and evaluation of organizational performance in accordance with performance and accountability targets and priorities, identifying connections between present actions and their future impact on the provider and health system
  • Accountable for delivery of projects assigned to the PMO
About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability, you bring:

Required Education
  • Bachelor\'s degree (undergraduate university degree)
Education considered an asset
  • Master\'s degree in Health, Business Administration preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
Required Experience
  • 7-10 years relevant experience working with strategic initiatives, analytics and project management
Experience considered an asset
  • Experience in a healthcare setting
Skillset and Knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Solid experience in supporting organizational strategic initiatives and performance
  • Superior knowledge with research and data analytics
  • Expertise in Change Management
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong ability to think critically
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
