Due to growth, we are looking for a Project Director for our Project Delivery Canada West group.

Purpose:

This person will be responsible for providing successful delivery and effective project management direction for Mega projects. This person will manage the end-to-end process from proposals, FEED and detailed design through to commissioning and have overall responsibility for successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Devise and implement overall project strategy through various project phases
• Ensure that the overall project is delivered successfully to client technical, safety, contractual, commercial standards, policies and procedures
• Ensure the contract is managed and delivered to client technical, safety, contractual, commercial standards, policies and procedures
• Lead strategy meetings and design/execute a project delivery plan that mitigates risk while successfully incorporating multiple internal stakeholders (eg Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, HSE, QA/QC, Construction etc) as well as engagement with external stakeholders (eg sub-contracted services, material suppliers, construction contractors etc.)
• Ensure appropriate controls and governance to ensure the highest standards of integrity, safety, quality and operational excellence
• Allocate resources effectively across Worley teams to ensure project delivery success
• Implement strategies to ensure smooth transition/handover between project phases
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Manage client relationship and ensure effective communication at all levels
• Ensure appropriate reporting framework and metrics to monitor project performance against key KPIs (eg cost, timelines, quality etc)
• Provide guidance and direction to management and support teams
• Work with all teams to ensure that all areas of the project are set up and executed in full compliance with the requirements of Worley HSE Management system
• Collaborate with Project Delivery Shared Services to enhance project delivery outcomes
• Collaborate with other business lines to bring full delivery offerings to customers
• Support and steward commercial growth initiatives to drive business success
• Build existing and grow new customer relationships in support of the business

Qualifications

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:

• 25 years++ progressive industry experience in Major Projects (oil & gas, mining & materials, refining or petrochemical industries)
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Director on a Mega Project
• A proven track record in project delivery and execution (at all stages)
• Demonstrable commitment to HSE Management in a project delivery environment
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills

Preferred Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

• PMP
• MBA
• Engineering degree
