The $100 million TELUS Pollinator Fund for Good is one of the world\'s largest corporate social impact funds, making early stage investments into for-profit companies and founders committed to driving social innovation. The Pollinator Fund is an extension of TELUS\' long-standing commitment to leveraging the power of technology to drive positive social and environmental outcomes for all Canadians.

The Pollinator team has been moving quickly since launching just over two years ago. We have a growing portfolio of 26 companies led by ambitious and mission driven founders. We are a strong team of high-performing, collaborative, pun-loving individuals each with a strong sense of curiosity and deep commitment to impact.

We are now building a platform service for our portfolio to better support our founders with the critical insights, expertise, solutions, talent and community needed to accelerate the growth of their companies and impact. This is an instrumental function to the Fund\'s success.

As the Director, Platform Services, reporting to the Managing Partner, you will help the Fund develop, deliver and productize a market differentiating platform service that helps our portfolio companies grow and optimizes the full strength of TELUS\'s people, commercial and technology assets..

Here\'s the impact you\'ll make and what we\'ll accomplish together:

• Develop and deliver on a portfolio enablement strategy that offers sought after support to our founders to unlock key barriers to growth and help Pollinator standout from other impact funds
• You will be responsible for content development and delivery, productizing support of services to our growing portfolio, develop KPIs to measure and assess the effectiveness of initiatives, return on investment and adjust services to ensure value contribution based on portfolio company needs
• Collaborate with the investment team to support the development and execution of post-investment value addition plans, starting with productizing portfolio company onboarding
• Build strong relationships and efficient processes with TELUS stakeholders to leverage TELUS assets to add value to portfolio companies
• Nurture a strong network of relevant expertise and resources that can be easily access to support portfolio company needs
• Build an active and engaged community among portfolio companies and industry networks to open doors for peer support, collaboration and expertise
• Partner with TELUS PR and communications to develop and execute on a clear communication strategy that delivers value to Polliantor\'s investment mandate
• Develop, manage and oversee the fund\'s strategic partnerships and sponsorships to deliver on the Funds dealflow objectives and contributions to the impact ecosystem.
• Support Fund operations initiatives including portfolio company metric collection from both a financial and impact performance lens

Qualifications

What you bring

• Minimum of 10 years of track record supporting early stage companies, venture capital or early stage management consulting, and/or demonstrated track record working in senior operational roles in early stage companies
• Strong network and relationships with experts and resources for common early stage challenges (ex. Talent and HR, growth strategy, operations)
• Superior strategic planning, management skills and a passion for building, operating, and transforming new businesses, while also able to create and deliver high quality content for programming
• You love building and delivering content for early stage companies
• Strong presentation, communication and influence skills and can be equally effective with senior leaders in TELUS and founders of portcos.
• Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills including the ability to collaborate effectively in situations without formal influence and across geographies.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects and initiatives in the portfolio and work within an environment of rapid change and evolving priorities.
• Capable and comfortable working effectively at 30,000 ft level and toggling to getting the details right
• Entrepreneurial spirit which will drive passionate ownership, process improvement and responsibility for the portfolio of investments.

Great-to-haves

• CPA, CFA, and/or MBA is a preferred
• Experience as a Board Director/Observer
