The Opportunity:
The Director People Experience will partner closely with the Vice President People & Culture as the Hospital develops and brings to life our People Plan in alignment with our new Strategic Plan. Overseeing Staffing & Payroll, Learning & Engagement and People Services, the Director will be instrumental in strengthening CGMH's culture to ensure that our team is supported and best positioned to provide excellent patient care. The Director People Experience will promote an approach of creative thinking, solutions focused and meaningful service delivery within our People Team.
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate education in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, Education or related field or demonstrated experience
Leadership experience, with a preference for experience in the health care system
Experience in change management and system transformation, with a preference for experience in staffing and payroll system design and implementation
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and deliver effective solutions
Competencies:
Demonstrated systems thinking approach recognizing impact of decisions on multiple stakeholders
Strong fiscal awareness to help realize effective and responsible people related decisions
High emotional intelligence, especially in navigating heightened and challenging situations

Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with the Vice President People & Culture on the development of CGMH's People Plan and ensure a sustainable growth path of development and scaling up as we work towards a new and expanded Hospital
Leadership in developing a people-centered culture
Represent the portfolio at Director's Den which is the first intake level of ideas and initiatives ensuring that a people focused lens is applied to all proposals
Collaborate with the leadership team, direct reports, and external partners to ensure delivery of the People Plan at CGMH
Oversee and drive staffing, scheduling and payroll to ensure that schedules meet staff and operational needs while demonstrating fiscal responsibility
Lead projects with the People Experience portfolio to improve the overall team experience. This will include a review and proposal of the systems solution for Payroll, Staffing and Scheduling
Partner with the People Services Manager and team to ensure collaborative and productive labour relations partnerships
In collaboration with the Manager Learning & Engagement develop CGMH's Inclusivity, Equity, Diversity and Accessibility initiatives and objectives, including the re-invigoration of the Inclusivity Committee
Identify and review opportunities to improve performance on sick time, vacancies, and premium use

Days, participates in Senior Leadership On-Call rotation following three months of employment. Compensation for on-call includes lieu days.
Wage:
$64.58 - $82.42 per hour [$125,928.09 to $160,719.70 per annum]
