Salary

: This position has a salary range of $92,702 to $127,464, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work

: 36 hours per week

Status:

Full-Time, Permanent, Exempt

Location

: This position is based in Kamloops or the surrounding area. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at our Kamloops locations for a minimum of three days per week. The role also includes oversight of our Chase office, requiring occasional travel to that location. Additional travel may also be required.

The

Director of Service Delivery

is responsible for overseeing all service delivery in the Kamloops-Thompson area, including Chase, as well as virtual services for the full interior region. This role ensures operational excellence through effective team leadership, the provision of expertise, and leadership of service delivery across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies and activities to support successful service delivery and outcomes for clients and key stakeholders.


The Director will support the development of high performing teams through effective management and development of leadership staff and is responsible for embedding ODG's organizational values and guiding principles throughout the team. This role sits on the Executive Committee and is responsible for ensuring that service delivery strategies and operations are in alignment with the goals of the organization.


The Director will be an external face of the organization in regional/local communities, along with being a key decision maker on regional/local governance and planning committees. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, organizations, partner networks and government funders, the Director of Service Delivery builds relationships to facilitate the sharing and leveraging of shared service delivery practices, emerging trends, and enhancement opportunities.

Leadership:

This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that motivate and engage employees, while building cohesive, high-functioning teams. You will coach and support a team of direct reports, set performance standards, track success metrics, and use data to continuously improve the employee experience.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will collaborate with the Executive Committee on organizational priorities and lead initiatives that strengthen service delivery. You'll oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance management for your team, while also supporting leadership development and professional growth across the organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong coaching skills, a commitment to inclusion and customer excellence, and a proactive approach to team and organizational development.

Service Delivery Leadership:

This role sets the vision for service delivery in alignment with organizational goals and funder expectations, while driving operational excellence and strategic planning. You will lead budget and workforce planning for service teams and ensure optimal staffing to support service outcomes.
As a subject matter expert in client engagement and customer excellence, you will stay informed on industry trends, legislation, and best practices to continually enhance service effectiveness. The role also involves spearheading diversity and inclusion initiatives, supporting strategic projects, and collaborating closely with internal teams to develop business plans and support accreditation processes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Development

: This role is responsible for strengthening partnerships with service delivery agencies, government stakeholders, and community organizations to advance organizational and funder goals. You will represent the organization at executive-level governance meetings, providing insights into performance and strategic direction.


The successful candidate will also support contract and funding opportunities by contributing to RFP responses and identifying potential new sources of funding. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, government representatives, and industry peers is key to enhancing awareness of our services and expanding our impact.

What you bring to the position:



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Science, or similar. 7-10 years' recent, relevant experience

In addition, the ideal candidate will bring the following experience and capabilities:



Service Delivery & Community Engagement

Proven experience delivering direct employment services to individuals facing barriers to employment. Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams within a service delivery environment. Experience developing and implementing community-based programs or services.

An understanding of global Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility challenges, best practices, trends and legislation in different geographies and cultures. Demonstrated cultural competence, including the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals and communities, foster inclusion, and address systemic inequities. Understanding of the Human Rights Code and relevant laws.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills



Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically with colleagues, government officials, and community stakeholders. Strong presentation skills, with comfort speaking to large groups both in-person and virtually. Ability to write clear, concise reports and professional communications. Comfortable using modern digital tools, including AI, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Strategic Thinking, Planning & Problem Solving



Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with a focus on results. Ability to identify challenges, develop creative solutions, and support effective conflict resolution. Sound judgment and decision-making in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments. Proven ability to manage complex projects and programs, balance multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results on time. Experience developing and managing budgets effectively.
