As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic direction of the sales function. This includes leading a team, developing innovative sales strategies, and collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure alignment with overall business objectives. Your role will be crucial in shaping the future of our client\'s business and enhancing their market position.Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Devise and implement effective business development strategies to identify and seize target markets and business opportunities, in line with the company\xe2\x80\x99s expansion goals.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and oversee domestic and international sales strategies, including pricing policies, channel approaches, and partner programs to drive growth and profitability.
  • Team Management: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team, cultivating a culture of excellence and motivating the team to achieve revenue targets.
  • Customer Focus: Analyze market trends and customer needs to tailor sales strategies and enhance customer satisfaction. Establish and maintain key customer relationships.
  • Market Analysis: Continuously assess industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand to stay ahead and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Partner with marketing and other departments to achieve business objectives, execute impactful marketing campaigns, and strengthen brand positioning.
  • Reporting & Communication: Present sales updates, key performance metrics, and strategic insights to the SLT and shareholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with company goals.
  • Innovation: Identify opportunities for new product features and solutions, leveraging market research to meet evolving customer needs.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in sales and sales management, with at least 10 years in a B2B food ingredients environment and 5 years in a manufacturing setting.
  • Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business, Food Science, Science, Nutrition, or a related field is preferred. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in leadership and project management with a focus on results.
  • Skills: Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools like Salesforce.
