Solicits, develops, maintains, and negotiates business from new and existing accounts to achieve defined goals and targets.
The successful individual will be responsible for ensuring that all sales goals and strategies are achieved for the assigned Market Segments. Also, ensuring a seamless transition from the point of booking the business to the point of execution in order to ensure clients' expectations are exceeded.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have previous experience in Sales and preferably in Hospitality Sales
Proactively solicit and qualify existing and new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals
Prepare sales reports and quarterly action plans and attend regular sales meetings
Self-motivated, decisive, responsible and driven to achieve goals
Promptly send proposals, contracts and other sales correspondence
Accurately confirm all bookings, quotes and negotiate rates while adhering to hotel rate structure, credit policies and general hotel policies and procedures
Maintain an up -to-date accurate client file, database and tracking system
Must have the flexibility to travel for work purposes, including the potential for overnight stays for trade shows and events
A diploma or degree in Business or Sales & Marketing is preferred
A valid driver's license is required for traveling purposes
Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional oral and written communication skills
