Job Description
Central York Rural Community invites applications for the permanent, full-time position of Director of Recreation & Parks.
Located along the picturesque Saint John River Valley, Central York encompasses portions of the former local service districts of Bright, Douglas, Estey's Bridge, Keswick Ridge, and Queensbury. Our region offers the tranquility of rural living with convenient access to nearby urban centres.
As a member of the Municipal Administration, the Director of Recreation & Parks holds a non-unionized position responsible for the strategic planning, administration, and daily operations of recreation, cultural, and wellness programs and services. This role also includes the oversight of scheduling, maintenance, and development of recreational facilities, parks, and waterfront areas, and supporting Central York's continued growth.

Qualifications:
- A degree in Recreation and Parks Management is preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years in a municipal management role, with proven experience supervising a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines effectively.
Compensation:
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including health and retirement, is provided.
