Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



The Director of Recreation, Tourism, and Heritage will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and will be responsible for the following:

-Planning, controlling, directing, and evaluating the Recreation Department's operations.

-Overseeing the physical management of the Stadium, Swimming Pool, Parks, Playgrounds, Walking Trails, and related municipal facilities.

-Developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance the overall recreational experience for residents and visitors.

-Managing marketing and promotional activities to increase awareness of recreational services, tourism attractions, and heritage sites.

-Taking a leadership role in coordinating and promoting tourism initiatives to attract visitors to our community.

-Preserving and promoting local heritage through various programs and events.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree or diploma in Recreation, Business Administration or a related field. Proven experience in a managerial leadership role.

-Strong organizational and project management skills.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

-Experience in marketing and promotion of recreational and tourism services.

-Salary and benefits to commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
