The Opportunity:

The Project Manager - Capital Projects provides guidance and direct project management services for a diverse portfolio of construction, renovation, and large maintenance projects.Provide project management leadership and acts as the representative to ensure the best interests of the project and its stakeholders; CSFS, and the funding agency. Lead the creation and implementation of project communication plans with all project stakeholders inclusive of holding regular project team meetings, conducting frequent site inspections, responding to requests for information, and facilitating the resolution of issues that could hinder the achievement of project objectives. Maintain a high level of construction project management expertise, with specific capacity in the areas of: scope, budget, schedule, risk, quality and communications management. Provide project advice to senior leadership and the CHRT capital directive order 41 process with Indigenous Services Canada, and other funding agencies to where linkages are in alignment with CSFS' mandate. Submission of applications, development of process to ensure scope, budget and schedules, risk mitigation strategies and all other project management attributes are appropriate for the successful delivery of proposed projects.

What You Will Bring to The Role:

Applied technology diploma in architecture, engineering (civil), building technology or related field from a recognized technical college. LEED AP certifications are assets. Minimum 5 years' experience in managing new construction, renovations, and maintenance projects, including but not limited to project management, contract management, and budget management, and on-site construction inspections. Experience working within a First Nations organization is an asset. Project Manager Professional designation with the Project Management Institute.

Wage Range:

The target hiring range for this position is $66.0680 to $86.0905 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants' role-specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
