The

Director of Pharmacy Operations

is responsible for overseeing operations across multiple pharmacy locations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational excellence. This role focuses on optimizing workflow efficiency, managing financial performance, and supporting pharmacy managers and relief coordinators. As a key operational leader, the Director works closely with the VP of Pharmacy Operations to align store-level performance with corporate goals and ensure excellence in patient care, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Your Primary Responsibilities:



Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring stores operate efficiently and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Monitor and refine store-level SOPs to maintain consistency and quality. Drive workflow and process improvements to enhance customer service and operational performance. Ensure alignment with approved budgets and cost-control strategies. Analyze store-level performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Provide direct supervision and mentorship to pharmacy managers and relief coordinators. Lead and support field teams with clear communication, accountability, and strategic direction. Act as a brand ambassador and advocate for the organization within the pharmacy industry and community. Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and professional associations. Provides coaching, performance feedback, and developmental support to managers and staff. Ensures consistent application of company policies and standards across all locations. Support hiring, training, and performance evaluation Promote employee engagement and professional growth and a positive work environment across all pharmacy locations. Serve as a visible leader and representative of the organization within professional networks. Lead initiatives to improve operational systems, workflow, and overall efficiency. Identify and implement best practices to streamline processes and enhance the customer experience. Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with provincial and federal regulations. Oversee risk management programs and adherence to professional practice standards. Maintain high standards of quality assurance, safety, and ethical practice.

Skills and Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required. Valid and active pharmacist license in the applicable province. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience, preferably in a multi-site environment. Demonstrated experience in operational oversight, team leadership, and financial performance management. Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, quality standards, and industry trends. Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams. Analytical & Decision-Making Skills Strong ability to analyze financial, operational, and performance data to inform strategic decisions. Skilled in managing budgets, metrics, and KPIs, with proficiency in calculating relevant figures. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills to define problems, collect and interpret data, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret instructions and information from a variety of sources and make timely, data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $65.00-$75.00 per hour
