We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of HR to contribute to our mission and support our strategic goals. This is a hybrid position where you are able to work from home up to 4 days per week.Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in executive planning and decision-making as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range HR goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Monitor and evaluate these to ensure alignment with organizational strategy, implementing changes for improvement.
- Facilitate collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, and grievance handling processes.
- Direct the organization\'s Total Recognition and Rewards program, ensuring legislative compliance and competitive salaries and benefits to attract and retain qualified staff.
- Establish and direct a Talent Management program, including recruitment and selection strategies, workforce shaping, and succession planning to meet strategic directions.
- Lead organizational development and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives to help staff and the organization achieve their strategic objectives.
- Develop and manage the annual departmental budget.
- Act as an advisor to the CEO on human resource matters.
- Develop, implement, and direct a performance management process to support retention, succession, and employee development.
- Develop strategies to support a positive employee experience and bring organizational values to life.
- Direct and administer an occupational health and safety service that reflects a commitment to safety and accident prevention.
- Ensure all legislative requirements are met.- Minimum of 5 years of related human resources generalist experience at the leadership level.
- CHRP or CHRL designation required
- Previous experience in a unionized environment required
- Experience in Not for Profit an assetWhat we offer:
