Job Title: Director of Marketing & Sales Company: Canadian Adventure Charters (CAC) Inc Location: Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada Job Summary: The Director of Marketing & Sales at Canadian Adventure Charters Ltd plays a pivotal role in the corporation\'s success. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this position is responsible for providing clear strategic direction and overseeing the corporation\'s mission, goals, and business activities. The Director will lead the development of a luxury explore yacht charter platform, brand/product creation, website management, online booking, and shopping center. The primary focus is to promote charter destinations, particularly in Newfoundland & Labrador, Northwest Passage, Spain, Canary Islands, Bahamas, Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Antarctica, while building a thriving charter yachting industry in Newfoundland & Labrador. This role encompasses a wide range of activities, including Submarine Dive Expeditions, Exploration, Treasure & Shipwreck Recovery, Underwater Film/Documentary Entertainment related to Climate Change and Global Warming, and Marine Research Hub. Reporting Structure: Reports to the Canadian Adventure Charters Board of Directors Requirements for the Position: Minimum of 10 years of experience within the cruise ship industry, private super luxury yachting, and submersible deep-sea diving industry. Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage public trading corporations, private, and non-profit entities with a minimum of 10 years of experience. Work with Investor Relations (IR) stakeholders, build partner relations with Fortune 500 companies. Manage marketing and sales portfolios ranging from $20M to $100M annually in the cruise ship industry, private super luxury yachting, and submersible deep-sea diving industry. 2. Marketing Management: Oversee all marketing initiatives, including brand management, digital marketing, advertising campaigns, event marketing, data management, public relations, and content creation. Maintain a positive corporate brand image and strengthen external communication with key stakeholders, including investors, clients, media, and the public. 3. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the executive team, including the President, CEO, CFO, and Chief of Artificial Intelligence, to align marketing strategies with overall company goals. 4. Strategic Planning: Develop annual business plans, strategies, policies, and procedures for the corporation and present them to the Board for approval. Seek and evaluate business opportunities and present recommendations to the Board. 5. Community and Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with luxury charter companies, government agencies, business owners, travel agents, customers, partners, and suppliers. Identify potential partnerships to support the corporation\'s mission and objectives. 6. Human Resources Management: Recruit skilled staff, set remuneration levels, and create performance-based conditions for employees. Establish performance management plans and conduct reviews, salary adjustments, promotions, and dismissals as needed. 7. Communication Skills: Fluency in speaking and writing in English and at least three of the following languages: French, German, Polish, Spanish, Mandarin, Norwegian, Arabic, and Russian is essential for international charter clients and business development. 8. Financial Management: Prepare and present annual operating and capital budgets to the Board for approval. Ensure adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies. Job Knowledge: Education: University Degree in a related field such as Business, Marketing & Sales, Economics, IT, AI, or Finance. Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in senior management roles in marine resource development, treasure & shipwreck recovery, luxury yachting, offshore adventures, expeditions, exploration, deep-sea submarine operations, and the film entertainment industry. Expert knowledge of business operations, asset management, marketing, finance, and business processes related to economic and business development activities. Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership skills, relationship-building, and conflict resolution abilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Working Conditions: Physical Demands: Extensive time spent sitting and using office equipment and computers. Occasional light lifting of supplies and materials. Required travel and flexibility in working hours. Environmental Conditions: Managing multiple projects and frequent interruptions due to competing priorities. Exposure to diverse environments, including high seas, varying climate conditions, wildlife, and challenging workspaces. Mental Demands: Managing multiple tasks and deadlines, leading to potential stress. Travel: Occasional travel on CAC\'s luxury exploration yacht, tenders, floatplanes, helicopters, underwater submarine dives, and hovercraft. Classification/Pay Scale: Dependent upon education and experience.
