Job Description
Amazing hybrid role with one of high profile Ottawa clients. We are looking for a driven Counsel to add value to and be the "backbone" of the business. This will begin as a contract assignment with the plan to permanent, and is a great opportunity to be part of an impressive non-profit association. The successful candidate will be able to ensure legal compliance and limit risk exposure.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with compliance within in the organization
- Preparing for and arguing motions and pre-trials
- Base your decision-making process on ethics and integrity
- Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders
- Meet legal objectives
Requirements
- JD and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- 3+ years of experience in Employment and Commercial Real Estate
- Ideal if candidate has exposure or understanding of the NFP sector, either from a previous work environment or personal experience. If not, they possess an interest in learning and/or a sensitivity to various social issues.
- Superior organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects
- High attention to detail
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
