Are you a finance professional that enjoys overseeing the financial functions of a company? In addition to effectively managing the financial controls for the company, the Director of Finance will be responsible for preparing and keeping the company\xe2\x80\x99s year-end financial statements, corporate filings, and corporate records.

You are a pillar of financial knowledge and have no problem working closely with the General Manager and Company President in planning and controlling all financial-related requirements of the company. As the Financial Manager, you understand the importance of relationship building with your team and have no problem monitoring the corporation\xe2\x80\x99s group of companies ensuring solvency and liquidity.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A degree in finance or accounting
  • A CA, CGA, CPA, or CMA designation
  • A superior understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accepted practices
  • A vast depth of financial knowledge, and uses their wisdom to advise others in the company
  • A minimum of 7 years leadership experience working in finance roles
  • The ability to win friends and influence people by building relationships and working collaboratively with team members and management
  • Experience in developing and implementing business plans
  • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • No problem meeting required deadlines by using multitasking and organizational skills effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can work with minimal supervision
  • Made computers their friends by embracing technology. Our successful candidate will have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with proficiency in relevant accounting software.
  • Must be Bondable and be able to pass a Criminal Record Check
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Must be able to travel. (Approx. 25% of the year.)
  • Must be willing to relocate to Whitehorse, Yukon
