is looking for a Director of Finance to join our team. This person should be dynamic, energetic, well-organized with a strong aptitude for gathering and analyzing data. We are seeking a career driven professional with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills who wants to be a part of a winning team and organization!
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the companies' goals and objectives.
Prepare short- and long-term financial forecasts, budgets and business plans.
Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions as needed.
Oversee all financial processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, employee benefits and month-end/year-end close procedures.
Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Review, refine, and document accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Manage cash flows, banking relations and cash management opportunities to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
Coordinate with financial institutions for any financing needs including loans, line of credit and other investment opportunities.
Coordinate and manage annual financial reviews and income tax filings by liaising with external accountants.
Oversee pricing structure for branded sales, coordinating with sales and Chief Revenue Officer for all pricing changes/strategies.
Supervise the billing, collections and credit polices to ensure timely cash receipts and manage working capital effectively.
Oversee and direct the implementation of new financial software.
Research and apply for government grants when available.
Perform other ad-hoc financial, accounting and capital analysis as required.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing professional development opportunities and encouraging a high-performance culture.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
A CPA designation is required.
7 + years of progressive experience in accounting and finance with at least 4 years in a management or leadership capacity.
Experience with Business Central software is highly desired
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to multitask and have proven organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Enjoy working with technology.
Keen sense of urgency and ability to effectively shift priorities as required.
