Job Description


Our growing Oakville client who is a leader in the Financial Industry is looking for a Director of Finance to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years related experience and will be responsible for the following:

The Director, Finance will oversee day to day accounting and risk management for the Corporation. They will establish, monitor and enforce accounting policies and procedures. They will protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.

The Director, Finance will also work closely with the CFO to complete monthly/quarterly financial and business reports and oversee month end close process.

In addition to the above, the Director, Finance will:

Set up and oversee the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial data governance and control processes (for AIRB and IFRS9),

Develop and implement AIRB reporting;

Participate in gap analysis for AIRB compliance and developing and implementing solutions to close those gaps,

Oversee all audit and internal control operations,

Oversee preparation of timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly and quarterly basis, including analysis of operational and statistical data and development and optimization of business intelligence,

Oversee/conduct analysis of financial results and trends,

Ensure adherence to financial reporting requirements and tax laws,

Set targets for and supervise 4 direct reports

Requirements:

The Director, Finance will have a strong attention to detail and have the ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines. They will have an in-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, tax laws, AIRB and best practices and a solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting. They will possess excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Strong analytical abilities are required.

Qualifications:

The incumbent must be a Chartered Professional Accountant and have a minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role.

This is a hybrid role requiring you to be in the office 3 days a week.

Salary- 145k-160k plus bonus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $145,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
