About the Role:



We are seeking the services of an experienced financial professional who enjoys both the day-to-day challenges of a multi-faceted business yet also has the expertise and vision to be part of the company's leadership team as it scales the company for continued growth. This role is very hands-on and is suited to professionals who have an entrepreneurial passion. Reporting to the President, the

Director of Finance

will be responsible for a wide range of financial management activities.

Primary Responsibilities:



Preparing and analyzing budgets, monthly financial statements and forecasts

Managing cash flow, including receivables, collections, and payables

Managing relationships with stakeholders and financial institutions

Managing accounting and administration personnel

Overseeing inventory and purchasing management

Overseeing payroll and administering employee benefits program

Improving internal controls

Ensuring compliance with reporting requirements

Requirements:



CPA designation (or in process)

Minimum 5 years of financial leadership experience (manufacturing environment preferred)

Strong analytical and organizational skills

A style that is both collaborative and approachable (team player)

Payroll experience

Proficient with Microsoft Office with superior Excel skills

Proficiency with accounting software (Syspro, Sage)

Experience with US and Canadian accounting and familiarity with US currency and foreign exchange allocations (a definite asset)

Remuneration:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
