As a leader in the industry, we are looking to add an experienced Director of Finance to our incredible Team in Dartmouth, NS. Reporting to the CEO, this role will take ownership of the accounting, financial, and payroll processes for the operating companies of Kerr Group. The Director of Finance is an integral member of the senior Leadership Team and will assist with Kerr Group\xe2\x80\x99s financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization\'s strategic goals. Responsibilities include:
Month end financial statement preparation & analysis
Manage Finance Team of 3 direct reports: Financial Analyst, Accounts Payable/Payroll, AR/Billing and Accounting
Participate in and oversee all functions of the Finance Team including: full-cycle accounting, full-cycle payroll, purchase orders, payables, billing, AR collections, cash flow, banking, reporting, weekly per diem and expense reimbursement payments, reconciling credit cards, etc.
Provide high level of customer service for our internal team, external vendors, and external clients
Daily cash flow management and forecasting
Ensure completeness of monthly revenue billing Responsible for annual external audits
Responsible for monthly HST filing for both companies
Prepare annual budget and forecast for all divisions, including capital expenditures budget
Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required
Minimum 5 years+ experience in a similar leadership role required
Minimum 5 years+ managing multi-provincial payroll and calculating all remittances required
Strong business acumen, problem-solving, and customer service skills
Accuracy and strong attention to detail required
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Resiliency, competitiveness, and drive for continuous improvement
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Experience using Microsoft Business Central an asset
Experience using RBC Express an asset
Expert proficiency with O365
Experience with MS Power BI an asset
