Job Title Director of Development

Responsibilities
The Director of Development will execute the strategy for successfully identifying, cultivating and soliciting a pipeline of prospective donors in alignment with Lethbridge College's priorities and strategic goals. The Director will oversee the stewardship of all donors, including major gifts and planned initiatives, annual giving, endowed funds, annual reporting, naming opportunities, events and thank you letters. Reporting to the Vice President of Research and Partnerships (VPRP) and working with the Director of LC Extension and Director of Applied Research Operations, the Director of Development is part of the Research and Partnerships leadership team.
The Director supervises the team's staff and provides coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities, including professional development and performance management. As a member of the College Leadership Council (CLC), the Director communicates, collaborates, identifies, and supports Lethbridge College initiatives and direct fundraising initiatives. The Director will monitor the implementation of college policies of naming rights, gift acceptance, gift processing, fund management, and sharing of personal information. The Director will work with the Director of Finance to ensure compliance with CRA guidelines and regulations.
The ideal incumbent will be able to design and implement a centre-wide service model and sustainability plan that aligns with the strategy and goals of Lethbridge College. This includes representing the centre on appropriate boards, committees and working groups at various levels, internal and external to the institution.
