Job Summary

The Director of Culinary will lead our private executive dining floors in delivering exceptional food and service to one of our premium clients in Downtown Toronto

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Innovative menu planning, keeping up with current food trends and delivering a high level of quality and presentation
  • Requires virtual support to another unit and travelling to support different locations within Canada.
  • Responsible for menu development, making sure to follow current trends.
  • Assist with food ordering, always ensuring the quality of our products.
  • Responsible for all food production with high-level presentation
  • Respond to last min food order requests, always looking forward to the client's satisfaction.
  • Maintain Compass H&S and QA standards about the kitchen and Ensure employees comply with Health and Food safety standards and regulations.
  • Acts to provide solutions and resolve problems to ensure service is never compromised
Qualifications:
  • Extensive training in the culinary arts as an Executive Chef in a fine dining setting
  • 5+ years experience managing staff (Restaurants, Hotels, Conference centers)
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Food and Beverage Management and equivalent is an asset.
  • High level of professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
  • Exceptional guest and client service orientation and passion for all things food and beverage
