The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) works to help maximize the potential of local communities by bringing together a strong united provincial network, while focusing our efforts on emerging issues. The mission of the MCC is to champion sustainable economic growth leading to greater prosperity for business and communities in Manitoba.
Reporting to the President, the Director of Communications & Marketing (DMC) will foster strong relationships within the business community to strengthen the mission, vision and core values of the MCC. The Director of Communications & Marketing, in consultation with the President, will develop the communications and marketing strategy and work towards ensuring MCC is the Voice of Business in Manitoba.

About the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce:
Since 1931, the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) has served as the umbrella association for Manitoba\'s vibrant chamber movement. Today, our network comprises 68 local Chambers of Commerce across all regions of the province, as well as hundreds of direct corporate/organizational members.

As the Director of Communications and Marketing, you will:

• Develop and implement the communication and marketing strategy for the Chamber
• Develop content and marketing material for MCC communication vehicles online (including website) and print
• Coordinate with chambers and corporate members for submission of their communication pieces in MCC\'s publications
• Work with publication houses for layout, design and execution of all publications
• Design ads for sponsors
• Negotiate contracts with publishers for publications
• Proofread all MCC publications, print and digital
• In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and Member Relations, ensure that all the marketing and promotional commitments of partners are met
• Manage MCC Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.)
• Research and develop event(s) strategies for MCC events
• Develop marketing strategies in collaboration with Director of Business Development and Member Relations to drive corporate membership growth
• Cultivate strong media relationships, field media inquiries, develop media strategies

You and Your Experience:

• Post-secondary education in communications, marketing or related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years\' experience in a communication or marketing role, experience in a non-profit setting would be considered an asset
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communication technologies
• Understand principles of copywriting, graphic design, layout and publishing
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Highly organized, with an ability to manage several projects simultaneously and to adjust to frequently changing demands
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a reporting staff
• Ability to build relationships with relevant partners and the business community
