We are hiring a Director of Care for two locations! One in Oshawa and another in Ajax. You MUST be a RN that has previous experience working in a long term care facility. If interested, please apply to this ad!

POSITION: Director of Care
SALARY: $98,000-$120,000
START: ASAP
SHIFT: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (some overtime/weekends may be required)
100% ON SITE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate and promote the interdisciplinary approach within the home through the Nursing, Dietary, Activation, Environmental Service and Administrative Departments
• Review all resident applications for admission to determine appropriate level of care; assist with processing of admission and discharge papers
• Implement and monitor control and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics; supervise the drug administration program including the administration of medication by all registered staff

• Degree/Diploma in Nursing or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a health care setting
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a Registered Nurse in the long-term care sector
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the applicable Provincial licensing body is required as well as the successful completion of Nursing Unit Administrator Program
• Current C.P.R designation is required
• Strong motivational, leadership, communication, team building and time management stills
