Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning and execution for our truckload division of freight between BC and the US (Dry Van Freight) and BC-Alberta. (Dry & Reefer)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement growth strategies to expand the company's customer base.
- Lead the sales team in achieving revenue targets and business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM tools to track sales activities and customer interactions.
- Oversee project management processes to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to drive business opportunities.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of customer relationship management principles.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in negotiation techniques and contract management.
- Knowledge of market analysis and strategic planning.
- Ability to lead a team effectively and foster a collaborative work environment.
