About the Opportunity
  • Manage and coach the Modelling Team of professionals, which includes:
  • Employee performance management/development: Performance Appraisals, performance management, training, auditing, coaching, quality and quantity of work monitoring, payroll/Human Resource/Privacy reporting, recruitment, motivation
  • Lead the development and maintenance of pricing model, provision calculation model and portfolio projection models for FCT, budget, orsa, capital management and others
  • Critically manage and review assumptions used in models
  • Lead automation of monthly financial reporting and budgeting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Oversight of effectiveness of pricing changes to ensure they achieve desired growth/profit and recommend when pricing changes are needed.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of special programs by developing measurements of success, monitoring results, and reporting on the results.
  • Innovate and identify new/ alternative data sources that can be used to enhance underwriting, collections, or recovery processes
  • Ensure model risk management policy and other relevant corporate policies are followed
  • Oversee development and maintenance of an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all activities
  • Create strong communication activities with FBS delivery manager
  • Leading Director of Finance in implementing outputs of provisioning and budget models
  • Leading team building events virtually and in-office Key Moments to bring the team together and promote a positive work environment
  • Ensure DMS meetings are conducted effectively and ensure that team members take responsibility for problem solving
About You
  • Professional designation considered an asset (CPA, CFA, or FRM)
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in the Finance Industry or Risk Management
  • Experience in statistical analysis techniques such as regression analysis
  • Financial modelling experience
  • Strong Proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel (including pivot tables, graphs), Powerpoint, PowerBI
  • Experience coaching and developing employees
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, for developing reports and forecasting
  • Experience working and managing a team remotely preferred
  • Bilingual English and French considered an asset
Salary Range
