About the Opportunity:
The Marketing and Brand team is a core function of the Marketing and Communications department. The team increases brand familiarity, accelerates donor acquisition, contributes to overall revenue growth for the Foundation and collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of relevant, differentiated and cohesive donor experiences across touchpoints.

The Director, Marketing and Brand is responsible for the Foundation\xe2\x80\x99s marketing plan; paid media strategy including mass, programmatic and paid social; leading and developing the marketing team; ensuring the brand visually comes to life effectively and consistently across all touchpoints; and delivering high performing brand, mass participation event, and region specific marketing campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have a donor-centric approach, a passion for brand-building, a track record of leveraging data and best practices to optimize ROAS and grow revenue, and have exceptional organizational and project management skills. The role requires critical thinking with a desire to solve business problems, a deep knowledge of mass and digital media, and the ability to collaborate and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, key responsibilities will include:

Marketing

Develop an annual marketing strategy with measurable objectives, aligned with organizational priorities.

Responsible for marketing plans developed through the year that support brand, regional, fundraising and mass participation event (Tour de Cure, Workout to Conquer Cancer, Cypress Challenge) priorities

Drive the paid media strategy and execution across mass, programmatic, and paid social, ensuring campaigns are fully optimized across the donor journey, compliment other channels and achieve targets

Generate and share donor, channel and competitor insights, leveraging data analytics, qualitative and quantitative research. Identify and action best practices and innovative opportunities to pilot and test

Brand:
Ensure brand positioning, narratives and guidelines are clearly articulated, support BCCF\xe2\x80\x99s vision and purpose, are communicated internally and executed effectively across touchpoints and stakeholders

Manage creative partner relationships, ensuring the development of clear, strategic creative briefs, overseeing the creation of compelling, on brand creative concepts, and the development of advertising assets

Oversee development of creative assets, environmental signage, templates and toolkits used by staff across the organization and partners

Measure KPIs to assess growth and improvement of brand performance, and leverage insights to identify opportunities to increase brand familiarity and trust

Leadership:
Provide coaching and mentorship to the team, supporting their learning, development and growth paths

Build internal capabilities and drive continuous improvement in marketing

Actively manage the BCCF marketing activity calendar and campaign management process, ensuring there is alignment with senior leadership around priorities, resources are assigned and marketing campaigns are delivered on time, in full, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Create structures and processes with the Director, Content and Communications and Director, Digital to enable a cohesive, data driven and agile go to market plan

Optimizes the use of the project management tool and communication practices to ensure effective collaboration across teams

Qualifications:
Relevant education and minimum of 10-12 years experience in marketing communications

Success in leading marketing functions at a complex, dynamic and sophisticated organization

At least 5 years of experience leading and building high-performing teams.

Core knowledge + skills:
Strong business acumen and ability to successfully operationalize change

Strategic thinker, experienced in data-driven, audience focused marketing campaign planning

Experience in building brand platforms and delivering creative excellence across touchpoints

Understand the importance of consistent branded content across all channels to optimize the UX for donors, volunteers and partners (or all stakeholders)

Deep understanding of digital and mass media

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Superior project management skills and process orientation, with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize, resource plan and ensure on time delivery of work.

Collaborative and agile problem solver who can leverage analytical skills and efficiently navigate ambiguity

Strong ability to make weighted and thoughtful decisions in a timely manner

Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationships. Ability to influence and work effectively, proactively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, senior leaders, and external agencies.

Keen understanding of marketing and media measurement, optimization and reporting.

Experience and demonstrated strength in leading, developing and motivating a team

A quick learner who approaches life and work with positivity, professionalism and passion

Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000
