The Director of Indigenous Business Education and Engagement will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies and initiatives that support Indigenous business education, Indigenous engagement, inclusion, and success in the Edwards School of Business, ensuring alignment with the strategic plans of the College and the University.Nature of Work:
Reporting to the Dean, Edwards School of Business, or designate, this position works closely with the College's leadership team and provides strategic guidance on all matters related to Indigenous business education and engagement, works to create an environment that enables good teaching and learning practices, as well as supports cross-institutional initiatives in Indigenization, decolonization and (re)conciliation efforts.The Director of Indigenous Business Education and Engagement works collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including faculty, staff, current and prospective students, other USask colleges/units, and community partners. This position serves as a representative in various University and community forums and develops personal and organizational credibility as a strategic partner.The Director also requires an ability to collaborate effectively and forge beneficial partnerships with Indigenous Peoples of Canada, as well as an awareness of the culture and practices of those Communities. This position must be adept and highly effective in representing the School and University in many different settings before different audiences.The incumbent requires an open mind, innovative thinking, good judgement, good communications skills, a proactive and creative approach, and a strong commitment to Indigenization, decolonization and (re)conciliation. The work is unstructured and priorities may shift based on environmental considerations.
