They contribute as part of the leadership team to the strategies and operational plans consistent with legislation, accountability frameworks, and the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of the province. The Director fosters collaborative environments that optimizes care provision through standardization and use of technologies. Contributing to the design and development of comprehensive strategies to support the effective, efficient, and sustainable delivery of services and programs including support of clinical transformation and the advancement of clinical standardization to improve health outcomes through optimal use of technology is a key part of this role.The Director of IMIT Community Applications and Specialty Services must have a strong understanding of not only the technical aspects of applications, their design and maintenance, but also an understanding for how they correlate to the support and delivery of patient care decision-making processes. The Director requires creativity and problem-solving ability in the pursuit, creation, and ongoing support of clinical applications for Nova Scotia Health. Collaboration, relationship-building, communication, and organization are keys to the success of this role. Decisions made by the Director affect a wide range of activities and goals and could have significant impact across the organization.
