THE OPPORTUNITY

Galvion has a unique opportunity for a talented HRBP - Director to support our Montreal Headquarters. This role is expected to be in office at least 50% of the time.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you will be part of a team of HR professionals committed to enabling business growth.

YOU WILL BE EVALUATED ON YOUR ABILITY TO

  • Full cycle recruiting and candidate screening in collaboration with our Talent Acquisition Manager. Utilize various talent acquisition methods including online positing and sourcing, and relationship building with local organizations to hire candidates to support our growth.
  • Monitor to ensure compensation and benefits policies remain competitive and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage timekeeping and payroll processing to ensure proper and timely payment of wages to Canada employees.
  • In conjunction with business leads, drive the talent management efforts for the company.
  • Promote a congenial and productive work environment and address any employee relations issues.
  • In collaboration with the CHRO, drive employee engagement throughout the company.
  • Progressing our efforts in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial labor laws and practices.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Fully bilingual and fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • A can-do, positive attitude and servant leadership qualities.
  • 7-10 years of previous HR experience.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field and/or relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of provincial employment laws in Ontario and Quebec.
  • Strong influencing skills with proven success in influencing employees at all levels of the organization through collaboration and communication.
  • Ability to travel to the U.S.
  • Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
