Director, Healthcare Data The Healthcare Data Products team at Loblaw is hiring a Director, Healthcare Data responsible for supporting and managing the medical device software pipeline for the enterprise. This role will lead the end-to-end management of the pipeline, from concept to daily operation, and lead the development team responsible for the medical device components and features with particular emphasis on machine learning components. Ideally, you are a seasoned Medical Device Engineer with a strong set of analytic tools to tackle problems from a systems perspective. What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do:

  • Lead the team responsible for the design and development of novel Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) products. You will collaborate with diverse team (i.e. Infrastructure, Information Security, Privacy, System/Application Development Teams and external partners/vendors)
  • Responsible for Medical Device Quality Management System (QMS) compliance for development activities including process development, modification, and integrations within the Loblaw Organization. You will collaborate directly with the Quality / Regulatory to support in both internal and external audits, QMS development, and Regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and colleagues to design new features and improvements to be integrated into software-as-a-medical-device products.
  • Assess potential healthcare data product feasibility from a technical and quality perspective.
  • Develop a highly engaged team by being an inclusive coach, mentor, and role model for all team members to help grow and promote our diverse talent pool.
What you Bring:
  • 5+ years of experience leading the development and launch of medical devices, preferably cloud software solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Health Canada Medical Device rules and regulations (ISO 13485, MDSAP, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, and IEC 62366-1)
  • Effective communications skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Passion to delivery healthcare products that impact all Canadians.
