DIRECTOR \xe2\x80\x93 HEAD OF CREDIT ANALYST, TRANSPORTATION & AVIATION (JOB NUMBER: GBA-021223-003-SOS)

The position at a glance Corporate Credit Management (\xe2\x80\x9cCCM\xe2\x80\x9d) is a transversal Team in support of the approximately 800 Corporate Clients of the North American platform. The CCM Team works to ensure coverage, monitoring & execution of all counterparty risk requests for the Corporate platform. Three functional pillars exist in the Team including:

  • Corporate Credit Team \xe2\x80\x93 consists of the Credit Analyst & Account Management organizations which provide sector/transaction specialized risk monitoring for the Corporate platform
  • Transaction Management \xe2\x80\x93 Front Office liaison Team for all functional Teams. In addition, provides support on complex transaction and project management
  • Corporate Credit Coordination \xe2\x80\x93 coordinates credit process/methodology topics throughout the CCM Team and the Corporate platform

In detail
  • Leading the Transportation Credit Subsector in origination, structuring and deal execution for existing clients and prospects including term sheet analysis of revolvers and terms loans formalized in a credit memoranda and preparation of cash flow projections associated with Leveraged Lending requirements

  • Sector primarily consists of 75-80 Aviation and Aircraft Lessor, Automotive, and Logistics clients. Team consists of approx. 5 direct reports. Portfolio consists of US-based IG/non-IG clients corporate clients

  • Managing an assigned portfolio of corporate clients in the Transportation space including periodic review of borrowers\xe2\x80\x99 financial statements, covenant compliance reports, press releases and news articles, rating agency and equity analyst reports, industry trends, etc.

  • Strong collaboration with Coverage Bankers, Risk department, and Product Teams (amongst others, FX, IRD, Commodity, Equity Derivatives, Global Trade Solutions, Loan Capital Markets, and Leveraged Finance Teams) to ensure an efficient and smooth turnaround of transactions. Interact with internal and external auditors during loan examinations

  • Reviewing transaction proposals and annual reviews prepared by team members before formal submission designated approval committees, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained in accordance with internal and external policies

  • Coaching and developing direct reports, preparing mid-year and year-end appraisals of team members



The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
  • Deep expertise in financial statement analysis, projection modeling skills, corporate credit analysis, legal documentation including credit agreements and ISDAs
  • Detail oriented, self-starter, excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage workflow in a changing deadline driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation oriented). Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into a clear, concise, coherent, convincing and complete document
  • Strong internal relationship management in interacting with credit process partners (Bankers, Risk, Delegation Holders, HO Presenters); providing input and clarifications during Credit Committee
  • 10+ years in a Corporate Banking environment, including leverage finance
  • Undergraduate Degree in Finance/Accounting or MBA/Master in Finance/CFA
  • Diverse experience in general banking products and banking practices including an understanding of loan structure, terms and credit agreements

Knowledge of the English language is required
