The Position

The Director, Financial Solutions is high performing and dedicated to maintaining outstanding standards of service. Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Director, Financial Solutions is focused on strategic planning, ensuring deep team engagement, who relies on the expertise and commitment of our Financial Solutions team members. The Director, Financial Solutions is responsible for driving accountability, supporting long-term goals, policies and procedure with respect to compliance. The director will be responsible for refining and executing the sales strategy to maximize revenue. The director will possess deep data expertise to help the business understand "the why" underneath trends and data.



Key Accountabilities:



Business Growth & Development

Continuously seek out best practices and evolving trends to benchmark Bromwich+Smith against top caliber organizations. Challenge and provide guidance to the organization to pursue transformational and innovative ideas that will optimize the delivery of our mandate. Actively represents Bromwich+Smith at industry events, networking opportunities, and conferences. Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on and growing what works and changing what doesn't.

People Leadership

Empower, engage, lead, build, motivate and inspire a team of Managers, Financial Solutions to deliver high quality results that support Bromwich+Smith's mandate and build a culture of excellence and collaboration across the organization. Define objective performance criteria for the Financial Solutions Team and ensure staff are provided with necessary learning opportunities, coaching, and professional development to meet the job requirements and targets. Drive engagement through ongoing coaching and mentoring.

Operational Excellence

Work with CRO and other leaders to identify non-client value added activities to improve efficiency, processes, policy, and productivity, which further enhance the client experience while ensuring organizational objectives and statutory requirements are met. Highly articulate in managing internal and external key stakeholder relationships to allow for the identification, optimization, and realization of sales. Develop and strengthen internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share. Champion and lead the transition to a service culture across teams to ensure alignment and interdepartmental support of departmental objectives. Tracking and trending of department KPI's through the management of department and team date and analytics as well as being accountable to organizational KPI's. Effectively managing the department budget allocation.

Education, Skills & Experience:



Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, law, or related field. 5+ years' experience in finance, accounting, insurance, sales, legal industry, Insolvency experience is an asset. 8+ years experience leading diverse teams. Experience with CRM software, digital tools, and techniques. Experience, proficiency, and comfort in communicating, collaborating, and working effectively at various levels.

A strategic thinker, able to make actionable recommendations and focus on clear objectives and outcomes. Strong analytical skills when addressing situations to determine appropriate solution or outcome. Highly motivated and organizational individual with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage projects simultaneously. Advanced ability to build relationships with individuals and groups that are relevant to company interests and promote the company's image (e.g., government, vendors, industry leaders, and other partners). Entrepreneurial in spirit, you are prepared to lean in and contribute where needed, while positively collaborating with team members. Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work commitment. * Exceptional and advanced business and financial acumen.
