Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our expanding Finance team, to support the continued growth and further enhance our strategic financial planning abilities to better support the performance of our 300+ pharmacies across Canada! Our Support Office is located in Etobicoke, ON, however this role has the ability to work remotely within the GTA.

Location:



This role is hybrid and will require 1 day (minimum) per week into the office for meetings as required by department leaders.



JOB DESCRIPTION:



The Director, FP&A plays a critical role in providing financial insights, analysis, and support to drive strategic planning, decision-making and performance optimization. Reporting directly to the VP of FP&A, the Director has a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical and communication skills, and experience in the retail sector.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



Strategic Planning: Provide financial insights and support to senior management in retail strategy development, including expansion plans, closures, mergers and acquisitions. Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, including new store pro forma analysis, ROI calculations, and scenario planning to support business expansion opportunities. Business Support: Directly support Acquisition and Integration teams as well as Strategic Initiative Leads in analyzing and understanding their financial results as well as decision-making support to enable each area to meet or exceed Budget expectations. Financial Analysis: Conduct analysis of results to understand and provide insights on drivers and trends of KPI's and strategic initiatives, as well as identify potential risks and opportunities on the horizon. Budgeting: Support the Annual Budget process by quantifying impact of strategic initiatives and M&A activities and layer the impact onto base business. Cost Management: Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve efficiency in retail operations, collaborating with operational teams to implement cost-saving initiatives. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency and enhance the quality of financial reporting and analysis. Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support retail initiatives and strategic decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA, MBA or advanced degree preferred). Proven experience (10+ years) in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on retail operations and merchandising, as well as prior financial modelling experience. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and retail performance metrics. Experience in the retail sector, with a deep understanding of retail-specific financial metrics and analysis techniques. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and financial modeling. Experience with Microstrategy a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with remote teams. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment. Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and driving results in a retail setting.
