This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Director of finance who is looking for a new challenge!

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, our client has continued to dominate the real estate and construction industry for the past 50 years! In addition, they have also expanded their business to industries like renewable energy, properties, tourist attraction and restaurants. Currently, they are looking to add a Director, Finance, to their team! The ideal candidate is a designated CPA and has 7+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Director, Finance will provide professional support to a senior executive by managing both financial and administrative tasks for them and is responsible for managing a wide range of personal and company financials, tax and accounts in a very fast-paced and challenging environment. Some of the duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for full cycle accounting, oversee budgets, cashflow projections and issue all the payments.
  • Manage AP/AR for multiple properties and entities, as well as ensure invoices and expenses are accurate.
  • Process credit card payments, invoices, and track loan interest payments.
  • Oversee tax restructuring, asset transfers, compile annual tax slips for tax returns.
  • Work with tax lawyers and external bookkeeper and maintain a database of all the assets.
  • Work in collaboration with external accounting firm for year-end audit filings.
  • Monitor stock trades, handle private placement stock buys.
  • Track and monitor revolving loans, prepare corporate and personal financial statements, and renew loan terms.
  • Draw loans to cover settlements, send wires for cross border and large payments.
  • Ad hoc tasks as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Designated CPA
  • 8 to 10 years of accounting experience
  • Must be comfortable doing both financial and administrative tasks
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Salary: $160,000 to $180,000
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Extended health and dental benefits.
  • 3 to 4 weeks\xe2\x80\x99 vacation
