Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Director Digital Experience to join our growing and ever-changing organization. Reporting to the VP Ancillary Revenue & Digital Experience, the Director Digital Experience will oversee the strategy, execution and optimization of flair's customer-facing digital experience. The role will be responsible for the strategic development of flair's web and app platforms to grow digital revenue, maximize cross/upsell opportunities, drive self-service and provide customers with a digitally-focused and enabled experience throughout their travel journey.

The Director Digital Experience will be based out of Vancouver, BC (YVR) and some travel may be required.

Primary Job Functions:

The duties of the Director Digital Experience include:

  • Deliver a best-in-class and brand-enhancing digital experience for flair's customers across both web and app platforms with a particular focus on turbocharging cross/upsell and overall conversion;
  • Lead, build, and inspire a high-performance digital team;
  • Responsible for leading the front-end design and optimization of UI/UX and managing the commercial/customer roadmap fed through to the development teams
  • Work with the Ancillary Revenue and Marketing teams to optimize retail opportunities throughout the digital customer journey
  • Engage closely with the Customer team to deliver a seamless, self-serve-focused experience from booking to in-journey
  • Responsible for all content across flair's digital channels and ensuring it delivers the right branding, look and feel, and relevance to customers
  • Employ advanced data analytics and reporting as well as multivariate testing to optimize UI/UX, drive a culture of experimentation, and manage trading performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Commercial team to build out and manage prioritization of the digital pipeline
Safety Duties, Accountabilities, Authorities, and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety and actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program;
  • Conduct assigned tasks and corrective actions;
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • A proven "hands-on" track record in eCommerce or digital product management in the airline or travel industry is preferred
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant work experience with at least three (3) years in digital roles
  • University degree in business, commerce, or related field
  • Leadership experience is beneficial but we will also consider candidates looking to step up to a leadership role. Must be able to build, maintain and inspire high-performance teams
  • Able to operate at a strategic level while also "rolling up the sleeves" at an execution level and making things happen
  • This is not a technical or engineering role but an understanding of web and app architecture is an advantage
  • Seamlessly moving between data analytics, product strategy and relationship management will be key to success in the role
  • Comfortable with experimentation and iteration to drive revenue uplift
  • Able to effectively manage stakeholders, both internal and external and ensure crystal-clear alignment and organizational buy-in
  • Able to foster innovation as well as manage commercial execution
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references
