In this newly created role, the Director, Development FP&A, will be responsible for building and managing the financial analysis, insights, valuations, and projections for our development projects (including mixed-use, rental, residential, commercial, hotel and industrial). In partnership with the business, the Director will create the structure, support, and governance to identify value-add opportunities and insights to advance all financial modelling, proformas, NPV and IRR calculations and overall project cash flow management.


What You\'ll Do

  • Build complex financial models for development projects to identify risks and opportunities and ensure successful outcomes for the projects;
  • Work with internal stakeholders to create a standardized and dynamic system for creating and managing project proformas, cash flows and budgets and implement across asset classes;
  • Make recommendations to the Lines of Business with respect to performance, value, and risk management;
  • Conduct scenario analysis on existing projects in portfolio pipeline;
  • Establish process for governance of financial information, assumptions, models, and insights;
  • Leverage data and research to maintain ongoing sensitivity and scenario analysis;
  • Participate in the review of budget revisions and project timelines;
  • Partner with the Development Accounting team to reconcile and align cash flows and budgets.
What you Bring:
  • 10+ years of progressive work experience in a real estate finance role involving oversight and accountability for project financial analysis and insights;
  • Strong analytical skills gained through your experience working on complex projects;
  • Demonstrated ability to positively impact the financial success of a project;
  • The ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information in order to identify opportunities and risks in projects;
  • Applied knowledge of financial metrics;
  • Proven ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization;
  • Strong communication skills;
