The location for this position is virtual/remote in Canada

As a Director of Development, you will partner with owners and investors to grow our managed and franchised hotel estate and allow them to use our global expertise to develop one of the leading brands in the hospitality industry. On the Development team reporting to the VP Managing Director Development Northeast, you will focus on growing our footprint in the Northeast region of the United States.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

Define and execute the development strategy for the Northeast region, in collaboration with the VP Managing Dir Dev NE and team. Develop strong relationships with owners, industry partners (consultants, asset managers, hotel operators, real estate brokers, architects, designers, counsels, investors, bankers), and local authorities to generate leads and development opportunities. Identify, assess, and prioritize development opportunities to ensure they align with brand standards and strategic objectives, while proactively managing risks. Negotiate and execute managed and franchised deals effectively, ensuring alignment with key internal and external stakeholders.

How you will collaborate with others:

Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to execute deals following agreed priorities, Hilton standards, and in conformity with corporate approvals. Engage with Legal, Feasibility, Brand, Owner Relations, and other departments to optimize and streamline the development process.

What projects you will take ownership of:

Oversee and guide development opportunities from inception to completion, ensuring a seamless handover of the project to Technical Services and Operations.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

Seven (7) years of work experience in Hospitality, Franchise, and/or Real Estate Sales. Three (3) years of B2B Client Management/Sales Experience. Travel up to 70%.

It would be useful if you have:

BA/BS Bachelor's Degree; MA/MS Master's Degree preferred. Experience negotiating high-value, complex hotel agreements. Experience analyzing NPV, IRR, and capital sources.
